Subject: Baxter Black, in hospice care


“These are the times that try men's souls.”		It has been announced that Baxter is in hospice care at this time. His wife CindyLou would welcome good wishes emailed to [email protected] The fencepost.com will be posting their favorite columns over the next few weeks. Here is one they posted today https://www.thefencepost.com/opinion/baxter-black/brushes-with-fame For the last 30 years it seems any magazine I got I always went to the back first to see what Baxter had written.

I'll never forget the time here on AgTalk I wrote a true deal that happened to me calving heifers. Well, I can't remember the person on here I think he was from Iowa? Asked me if it was alright to forward my deal to Baxter, I said ok. Well, I got an email from CindyLou telling Baxter was going to use it. I felt quite honored. This just gave me some pretty wet eyes tonight and a big lump in my throat to read that post tonight. Prayers to Baxter and his family.
