Because the way its mounted and the aspirator tube that sucks from the air filter housing.
Not sure you can get that on a truck muffler.
Something is broke and rattling around on the inside. Aspirator hose melts off after a few hours so it’s obviously too hot from new and it’s not sucking the heavy dust out. Filters plug in a few days compared to other tractors of same vintage
