How can i assure that classified ads are legit and not a scam?
Id start by calling them on the phone and asking some specific questions about it, questions that they would likely only know if theyve used it themselves.
But yes, all the talk on here about scams in the classifieds recently should make one really do due diligence to help ensure they are not scammed.
The strangest one yet is the long time users account that was supposedly stolen and is being used by a scammer?
Used to be you could search what posts the seller has made on agtalk through the years and be pretty comfortable with purchasing, but if the scammers are now using actual several year old agtalk members account with hundreds of posts, that way of doing due diligence is less reliable now. |
