If you go with a Jasper you can buy a reman from them without the Advance Fuel Management lifters in them, and they supply a detuner with the engine to disable it on the vehicle. The engines costs some less, and are far better reliability as well. I was told roughly 80% of their 5.3 engines are sold with regular lifters since beginning to offer them that way in 2018.
