Western EC Iowa | Just went through this last week for a hydraulic pump on the sidedress bar. I guess we have the 'deluxe' valves, which means we have 3 settings for each SCV, which are on the black knobs right behind the cab. Set that knob to the hyd motor indicator. Do not get the return kit that replaces the fill tube, it is designed for low flow/pressure return. Get a high flow, low pressure Pioneer tip, we got ours from the JD dealer. It looks just like a regular tip, but has 5 or 6 holes in it and it only flows one way, so you can't run the hyd motor in the wrong direction. If you get the new fill tube, you will likely have a mess of hyd fluid all over the back of the tractor. Ben | |
