Subject: Magnum turning radius

I have a 7250 Magnum tractor that has 16.9 x 30 tires on the front (18.4x46 rears). Currently we don't use it for planting, but I would like to do so. The problem is that it is quite hard to get it turned around on 12r30 without braking a lot or making a gigantic lightbulb turn.

How much tighter could I get the thing to turn if I switched to a skinnier tire on the front? Would going down to a 14" make any significant difference? We use it for heavy jobs in the fall,, so the wider tires are nice....but I am considering buying a 2nd set of front tires if it would help turning!

I'm kind of attached to the power and reliability of the old 7250 and don't want to give it up (or spend the money) on a newer MX

Thanks!
