Subject: RE: Fertilizer price explanation from NCGA CEO

Glasgow, Ky

Agree coup.  As I have said on here before,  why would suppliers want to drop prices when farmers just keep buying as prices continue to spiral?  Fear does that to people.  The herd mentality is alive and well in the farm community along with chicken little and the first hog to the trough.   Farmers complain about insane fertilizer prices, and then turn around and pay them, out of fear that there will be a shortage or prices will go even higher.  There is insanity but it's not the suppliers.  The big companies are getting an early Christmas present with all the money flowing into their coffers, farmers are getting the shaft but, apparently, they must like it.  It's either bend over and take it or tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.  Bending over seems to be the position of choice by many.  Ridiculous.
