Madison Co. Virginia | I'm partial to the older Case loaders. The 1840 is the same size as the New Holland LX665 mentioned above. The 1845c is a bit bigger. Both of them are very simple, easy to work on, and have a lot of aftermarket support. Many of the engine parts are the same as a 1990 Cummins pickup. Wheel bearings are cheap and easy to replace. Hydrostatic pumps can be pulled in an hour by two people. Parts appear to be readily available for the hydrostat components, though I haven't had to buy any. Do NOT buy a 1835c; the engine is a timebomb. | |
