Buy a better seed than holmes has. Howarddill.com $45 will get you a seed from a pumpkin that weighed over a ton.

Dig a post hole. Mix mycorrhizal potting soil and compost half and half. Fill the hole in with that mix. Every foot toss in a handfull of 11-52-0.

Plant on top of that. Bury the vine after about three foot of growth except the node about 10 foot out from the base. That or the next node is the flower you want
