How do we decide what to believe when we are on the internet? .
Search out both sides of the issue and anything that overlaps, is mentioned from both sides is likely true. All else is likely not true or at the very least, manipulated. So, once you have read as much as you can FROM BOTH SIDES, consider both arguments, apply critical thinking and draw your own conclusions as to which side is more plausible. . BTW, ALWAYS be open to new info from either side then reconsider if it changes the dynamics that brought you to your current conclusion. Oh, and take EVERY "statistic" with a block of salt. In other words, pay them zero attention. ANYONE can make up a statistic and make it look official on the net and even any that DO come from an "official" site may be manipulated to fit whatever narrative they want. |
