SW Nebraska Panhandle | We get the Denver TV stations. Just had a news article last night about snow conditions focussing on Winter Park. All the resorts are delayed opening this year due to snow and the pictures they showed at Winter Park were pretty bleak. Usually A-Basin is the best for early skiiing as it is the highest elevation resort in CO. No doubt there will be plenty of skiers on a small amount of snow this year. Never actually been to Winter Park but it does look like a nice resort. Back when I was young enough to ski usually just went for day trips as we do not live that far from CO and WY resorts Usually went to A-basin if there was any concern about snow but the resort does not have much more than skiing. It is a fairly easy drive from Denver. | |
