South Georgia | I suspect the problem was the IP address of your PC. When you connect directly to a device, there is no router (or more importantly, no DHCP server) in your network. Your computer probably auto-assigned its IP address something in a different subnet. When directly connecting, you need to manually assign your computer an IP address, I use (192.168.1.100). However, when you connect back to your network, you need to change the configuration so that the IP address is automatically assigned by the network DHCP server in the router. I'm sure there are Utube videos that show you step by step how to do this. | |
