If they are like our 1770 they go up and down with the same SCV that raises/lowers the entire planter and there is an electric control box for the markers. Maybe check the connections to and from this box? Is there anywhere else in the hyd circuit that could be accumulating pressure after the tractor? How about a leak sucking air? Are the hydraulics bouncy like they have air in them? I agree with running in float until you have time as long as the planter doesn't want to push out of the ground if the lift wheels are floating.
