Subject: Tillage equipment recommendations for a dairy

Missaukee Mi
We are looking to update some of our tillage equipment down the road and trying to figure out which way to go. Currently we have a 13ft miller disk, a JD 11 shank 714 mulch tiller and a brillion 24ft field cultivator and packer. Have a jd 8430 and 7250R to pull it. We have our manure custom hauled so they come in one day in the fall and one in the spring. In the fall we will disk our stalk chopped fields that we combined and use the 714 on the fields that were chopped or pure alfalfa fields that we sprayed off. Same in the spring with what wasnt covered in the fall. We go over anything we disked with the 714 later. After that we spread our fertilizer in the spring and level with the field cultivator and packer and plant into that. Our miller is getting tired and we arent that happy with the job it does. We also wonder if it is worth running the 714 over every acre or we should be looking at something else. We want to incorporate our manure as soon as we can after spreading, limit our passes while still warming up the soil and breaking down residue. Striptill is very interesting to me but curious how to make it work with manure.
What would you do in our situation? What passes and equipment would you be looking at?
