Can you collect and burn wood for just a campfire or do you need a firewood collection permit, from what I read it's says a permit is a min. of 20 cords and max of 100 cords, so for a week of camping sounds a bit much. This will be in Colorado


You'll want to check with the local ranger/site to confirm there is no ongoing burn ban or ban on moving wood. Generally speaking, gathering for campfires from dead and down is allowed. Separate permits needed for home heating needs.
