My assumption would be that since they said he died due to complications from Covid, they felt like they should give his vaccination status. They probably figured that was the first thing everyone would want to know so just put it out there and get it over with.
So why bother saying he died from Covid at all?
The man was 84, when you’re 80+ you’re playing with house money. Everyday is more likely than the previous to be the last.
Basically they wanted to tell the world that Covid is still scary and will kill you.
