central illinois | Pump had good pressure… it was manual motor under cab… there is a relief valve block mated to it… no dealer in Illinois had it… there was one in Milan at a warehouse I’m guessing but with Deere strike I couldn’t get it… we removed the motor 4 hoses… separated the motor and relief valve block… found some metal shavings in two small ports with screens… cleaned it out with brake clean. Put everything back together and it steers like new… only had 160 acres of beans left so I’m running it … from what I understand power steering is closed system with un load auger engage so it’s already contaminated… metal likely came from pump I’m guessing… | |
