Usually if your local john deere dealer has any kind of a decent ams guy he keeps a brown box with processor on the shelf just for that very same good reason you mentioned just for updating.. my deere ams guy has one on hand that he keeps at all times just was out at the beginning of harvest to get me set up with my 2600 for monitoring, mapping and guidance on our 9650sts
