Alton, Ia | We have the NH version of the 3162, have been very happy with it. The other posters who recommend not the 3162 don't say why, so hard to know there. The two issues might be the 3162 may not feed as well in short beans, like really short. The other concern was early units had issues with the center drive gearbox seals, CNH has upgrades which should solve that. I remove my center plate and blow it out every morning while pumping fuel, takes maybe 2 minutes.
A friend's family runs both. They say sometimes the MD works better, sometimes the 3162. They are happy with both.
