Here is my experience with an R55 for what it's worth. When I got the combine the rotor loss sensor was bad but I expected the shoe loss sensors to still work. They didn't. If I remember right I tried the test mode with the shoe sensors but that did not register either. Once I changed the bad rotor sensor everything worked fine.
