Do not attempt to replace yourself if you have never done one and definitely do not try to take it apart
I agree with you about not taking the can apart, but not changing the can yourself? That’s a pretty straight forward job! Watch a couple good YouTube videos and just about anyone that owns a set of tools can do that job.
