Central Ga | Your last sentence depends on the area of the country. During the 80s farm crisis there was lots of land in this area that sold for $500-$700 an acre. That time was my teenage years. I have a friend that started in the early eighties with his brother that started in the mid 70s. I have heard them say more than once they bought quite a bit of land and paid for it with five good crops. That certainly does not happen any longer. | |
