Subject: RE: More yields for what its worth

Northeast Iowa
There was some interest earlier this summer comparing our rainfall near Waterloo to yields, especially in comparison to 2012. When we get further along, I'll recap and post my findings.

We are better than 12 no doubt, as expected. Less rain than 12, more 90* days than 12, but less 100* days, more cooler nights.

First field of corn did about 50, over 100 bushels off normal.
The next one still unfishinished is going to be above 160. Maybe 170. (40 to 50 off a normal)
We will have hundreds of acres go below 100

Beans have been good so far, but have been saving the bad ones for last. We've had 55, 60, 65, and 70 bushel beans. We absolutely will have some fields around 20, where the beans were areas died before Aug rains.
