Here in Wyoming, you often seen the slower speed signs placed so far outside of a town because of driver inattention. In some places, they even put rumble strips on the road surface to alert drivers to the change in speed limit.

Too many drivers get used to 65 yo 70MPH on our two-lane roads, and then they blow through a little town with pedestrians, kids and dogs on the street at 75 MPH - or more.
