Subject: planning retirement on the horizon?

NC Iowa
after 47 years, I am considering retiring after 2022 crop year. Looking for some ideas on planning sale of machinery and grain sales.

I would hate an on-site auction with 100's on my place, but a big job to haul everything off-site. Thinking a late summer auction if I go that way. I do think things sell better if they can see the place it came from.

I can easily sell my equipment myself over time, to spread out the income. The small stuff is what is hard to sell. Would be nice to be done with it all though.

Have condo storage and could store some grain over a year if practical.

I have someone lined up to rent to either cash or share.

Edit. I do have some things I could sell privately, but every item listed may attract more buyers also.

Edit again.
Other choose is to just plant and harvest and haul to town.
Hire everything else done. That would just delay the inevitable.
