| Any processors I've looked at are nothing more than an expensive gadget that adds to the production cost of firewood. The simple reality is that on a large scale, a machine like that is too expensive and too slow to work cost effectively... and on a small scale it would simply be cheaper for you to buy the wood split from somebody else who can do it efficiently.... or get busy with a chainsaw.
There are firewood processors out there that do work efficiently... but these are commercial machines that run about 100K to purchase...
I must admit, this one was the best of the small ones I've seen because it didn't involve slogging 8' wood by hand, but you've still got to handle the split wood.
I suppose there is a certain situation where that might work well, but not on a wide scale.
