East Central Ia | We are about 10 miles east Iowa City
Definitely dry but not as bad as other areas and we caught some timely moisture.
We were worryingly dry at planting. We actually quit planting corn because we couldn’t get the planter into the ground. We then got decent rain in May, Got very dry again in June during second pass chemicals. Got some nice rains and cool weather through pollination and then not a drop until the third week in August. We caught a nice 2-3” soaker around third week in august and are very dry again now. | |
