My contention as well Don. But depending on how hard and deep a frost/freeze goes, as well as conditions presented this spring, that may or may not have an underlying cause.

Normally "up here"..... that side wall smear/compaction done in the fall would be next to non existent in the spring. But that is here ... I don't know where "there" is. Any frost level approaching 2" in this area, nothing short of a heavy disk ripper is going to bust up, and that will bring up slabs of frozen top soil. I've plugged up a disk ripper set on 27" centers with almost table top sized "sheets" of frozen soil.
