Subject: GPS for traveling?

Thumb of Michigan
I havea Garmin GPS V that I bought a number of years ago. Worked OK, but for some reason I can't input addresses anymore. I'm assuming that the cost to repair will be more than a new unit. I haven't hooked it up to my computer yet, assuming that theres probably not a repair function anyway.

Need something to put on my dash/motorcycle handlebars to keep me from getting real lost. One thing I think I'd like is the ability to plug the unit into my computer and type in a number of different addresses vs having to punch them in on the GPS unit like I do now. No clue if thats an option on any of them. Color would be nice too, don't even know if a B/W screen is available anymore.

Another option I've wondered about is a multi function electronic device of some sort with a GPS add on. I have nothing like that now, and I might not want one either. Opinions are welcome.

Oh, and I don't want to spend a bunch of cash, either.
