Friend has a Sony laptop that was working fine when shut down and was dead the next time turned on. They tried to get a schematic from Sony & were turned down. Did learn there is a component that has to completely discharge before it will reboot. When it acts up it can take from 2 days to 2 weeks to completely discharge. After a waiting period the computer is again working normally,
