Subject: Question on Glyphosate, Fertilizer, and Lariat?

South Central Kansas, Harper County
Just finished planting some grain sorghum, and due to recent wet weather(ha), there was quite a bunch of cheatgrass in the field. I sprayed some glyphosate and 24d this morning, and need to apply 28% with Lariat to same field. I wanted to spray the fertilzer and Lariat tomorrow, but my crop advisior said it would be better to wait a minimum of 36-48 hours for the glyphosate to really get absorbed into the weedy plants. I thought most weed species would uptake glyphosate within a 24 hour period, is his reasoning sound advice? I applied 30 oz of 6# glyphosate to this field.
thanks,
Jim
