Eastern NE KS | Your post adds weight to getting local vet involved with vaccination protocol. Our experience is opposite of yours we have lost too many cattle to lack of properly used vaccine and timing. We have never experienced anaphylaxis (knock on wood).
Are there other potential issues with vaccination?
In the late '60's we vaccinated a group of yearling heifers and penned/pastured them across a fence from bred heifers. Then the abortions started. Turned out the killed vaccine contained live virus. That was a tough go for Dad and his team. I was 8-9 yo. Good learning experience for us all, including the vaccine company. | |
