Subject: Yellow Peas in Texas

Kirksville, Mo
Montana, and ND yellow peas are toast, was kicking around the idea of trying to find some acres to plant Peas in TX, on some pivots after corn or milo-or other crops. Should have 90 days frost free if i get them in soon. Would the herbicides be a issue after corn? Any thoughts on why this would be a terrible idea? I know they grow blackeyed peas, and I have grown chickpeas, but they where seeded in the spring.
