| So now the beans in Western and Central IL are in trouble if they don’t get rain in 10 days? Just pulling up some soil moisture data and temperature data from the Macomb/Havana/Bloomington area, it appears the profile is historically full for Aug 2, and night time lows in the 60’s. Which means beans completely covered in dew in the morning hours and very moderate day time temps. So now that’s a recipe for “not good” if no moisture in 10 days? Let’s “circle back” to this area this fall and see what yields are after a month of August with below normal temps and avg rainfall.
