Subject: RE: gps for a AtV

WC Iowa
I have been using the Ultra Rugged Field PC from SST (same as agleader's PDA) for a little over a year now and have been very happy with it. SST Software is ok but the PDA is awesome. It has the Compact Flash GPS card in it that works fine when I do tile lines and want to be mobile, but i use a Garmin Serial GPS receiver when i do stuff that has to be more accurate and can just stay on the ATV. Have tile machines and we farm so I map tile lines and do field boundaries with it, sometimes in the rain and there is alwase some mud on it. I guarantee that if i had just a regular Ipaq or something i would be on my second or third by now. It costs quite a bit but it will survive what others cant.
