| I agree with the sentiments of Cornstalk - the unnecessary and unwanted apps/programs on a box store computer. I have been using HP Business for all of my hardware needs and am pleased with their support after the purchase, though knock-on-wood I really haven't had much trouble.
I'm operating with Laptops, mini-desktops, dual monitors and peripherals including server and printers.
And yes - get the core software only! Keep your computer clean. I mostly run Office products and web browsing with occasional 3d modeling and financial software.
I have one laptop that is 'at risk' with the Go Pro, Apex, etc...
you can network your computers and do a remote desktop to get to those applications from any other computer.
of course everyone's setup/preferences are different, and it works for us, but may not be what you want either.
