Ok to answer your question, moldboard plowing creates a smoother spring because of the lack of residue. That pic was on spring plowed ground, our fall plowed ground is lump free. As far as cutting the plow up for scrap, show me your wonder tool which leaves the ground like this only hours after the combine.
