After watching a farmall 75c on auction, I decided new was the way to go. JD wasn’t even close on price and a MF4707 was going to be almost as much as the Deere. Local Case dealer was very aggressive on pricing the 75a and trade allowances for some tillage equipment I haven’t needed the last few years made it an easy decision to demo the 75a.
Put 3 hours on it the first day doing several different jobs then used the 560 for chores. At the end of that day was kind of on the fence about the 75a.
The next day was back to more demo tasks and almost immediately it hit me: I’m not trying to replace the maxxum or magnum and the 75a doesn’t come close to driving either of those.
When comparing decibels and ride/accelerometer to the 560 I plan to retire, it wasn’t close. Then factor in the a/c and ROPS into the equation and driving it is so much better than the 560. The 75a didn’t go back to the dealership.
The 3 cylinder diesel has it’s own sound and has decent torque rise. The loader is ok and probably won’t get used much, perhaps for snow pushing this winter.
Time will tell how it turns out but really looking forward to raking hay and wrapping bales now.
(The 560 will probably still be running 60 years from now, not sure I will care 20-30 years from now!).
