If you do not need any special crop sensors and do not plan to go that route, the DJI mavic Air works awesome for me. I had never flown a drone prior to owning a mavic air. I would highly recommend getting the "fly more combo" and get a good hard carrying case. IMHO, having the drone with you at all times is the most important part. I have mine in a hard case and it rides around in my truck at all times so I can pull it out whenever needed. If you don't have a smartphone to use for your video screen, you need the one with the smart controller. I use my iphone and it's not the most convenient but it does work fine.
