Franklinton, LA | I would be reluctant to own stock in a small company unless I knew the people making decisions and what they were doing.
Like another poster suggested, sell the stock and invest in something with a better chance of appreciating will probably be a good decision.
Checking on the stock holders equity may help you make a decision. How many shares of stock do the company shareholders own and what is the selling price per share? What does this company actually own and what is it worth? How much debt do they have? This will give you some idea of the stock value. If the assets per share are over 125% of what the stock is trading for it may have some potential for appreciation. It the assets are 25 - 50% of what the stock is trading for it probably has a lot of room to go down in value!
