I know some (maybe most) of buyers are well established but I have to wonder how much actual Cash $$$ guys are sitting on.
Changed fertilizer supplier last yr. and manager wanted to know what finance plan we wanted to use , I thought that was strange question as everyone says all this land/machinery/inputs are paid for with cash plenty of 3rd and 4th generation farms flush with cash and can pay whatever it takes to get the deed to the land and turn around and operate it with a full line of new equipment, also plenty of young guys that want to build a land base and have to farm it with clapped out equipment and starve the wife and kids to make the payments, takes all kinds to make the world go around. The first will never have enough and the second will likely never get enough. |
