Hooker Twp,Ne | I DON’T KNOW. If I sell to much to quick and expenses go higher(which they will) and some won’t go back down so easy, then I’m SOL. Can only lock in some expenses. If I don’t raise a crop then I only get 80% of average year crop or can look at it as price. $7.00 corn at 80%= $5,60 corn. If higher prices kick me into higher tax bracket then did I really get a higher price for corn. Of course Uncle Sam will spend it wisely. Think I’ll sell a little at a time and if I raise a crop I will probably have a little to sell next summer as I do now with 2020 crop. Never expected to get $7 for corn when I planted my 2020 crop and I might get $10 or $4 for my 2021 crop. Expenses will tell me more what to price my crop at then the price itself. | |
