Subject: RE: Who repairs Raven 450's

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Bad keypads are fairly common. When I worked as a Tech I replaced many of them in 440s and 450s. The keypads are similar but not identical. Like many procedures, it's not that tough after you've done a couple.

As you maybe aware, borrowing a 440 from a friend would work that is if you only need boom sections 1-3. When Raven introduced the 450, they just used some open spots in the wiring connector for Sections 4-6. This means a 440 can be used in place of a 450 if you don't need the extra sections. A 450 could always be used in place of a 440.

I understand Raven no longer produces the 440. This is not a problem since a new 450 would work fine where a 440 had been used in the past.
