I talked to the owner several years back at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA.  I think he was a retired vet or federal inspector, so he had been around many head gates and working chutes.  He built the Tuff Built products, based on what he thought worked best on each chute that he had been around.  I probably would have bought his chute, but I came across a good deal on a Northstar.
