Eastern Ontario, Canada | dairy here and lots of people use Deere impeller conditioners for pure alfalfa. with the hood opened up all the way up there is almost no damage to alfalfa. plus the wind the impeller makes does a far better cut than rolls. the air rolls make push hay forward in front of the cutter bar in new seeding and light conditions. if doing any grass at all you do not want rolls. we routinely make 24-27 % protein top quality feed with impeller. | |
