I had to do it last year on 10 loads of monster steers. I got the market, but sure as heck ain’t how I like to roll. It got’m dead. I’m about ready to start selling 1000# feeders. Let the commercial boys buy’m that have the sweet heart deals. Keep posting your daily reports Gary! For what feeders are bringing....putting on the last 500# will break anyone’s calculator!
My thoughts exactly. I was very bullish for the fourth quarter. Not so much lately. The problem with this program is that there eventually won’t be competition for the 1000 lb feeders. That day is way closer than many of us realize I fear. Study the seep industry 25 years ago and it doesn’t look pretty for cow calf operators or stocker operators either.
