The earlier tractors have the sensor inside the steering cylinder. That was a bad idea. They are not as easily or cheaply fixed as the newer ones. Also has had a higher failure rate. I think it started in 09 where they moved the sensor out of the cylinder and mounted it in the center of the tractor at the pivot point.
