We use a custom operation for merging. We don't do enough to justify one. Merger will easily double your throughput, or cut operating hours in half on all equipment involved.


Still doesn't make the merger worth north of $150k.

Makes it a good tool but doesn't justify the exorbitant pricing.



Apparently it does justify the pricing, since people buy them. They can literally double the productivity of everything else.

With enough work to do, the options to get it done in time are a $150k merger and a tractor, or pony up another $1.5 million and hire twice as many people so you can run two crews. Pretty easy decision then.
