Blooming where I am planted! | My friends' oldest is in his last year of high school in the Rockford, IL area. This is a nice, good kid, always courteous to his "aunt" but something else with his parents. He's now sporting four F's in his classes in this last semester. I'm worried if he doesn't turn things around he'll go nowhere fast. He got a good ACT score and has had some good universities (including KSU) interested in him up till now.
I told his parents if he is looking for something to do, he can come out here on the farm and we'll find plenty of work for him to do...paint barns, help with harvest, build a small shed, clear junk, etc. but that he would have to pull his weight.
Just had to vent. Such a good kid and nobody seems to know what is wrong, other than that he's immature and hasn't had to face his own consequences yet. His parents think money will be a wonderful motivator, and I tend to agree. |
