NE Saskatchewan | We are leasing some 2018 model year combines and tractors from JD and I was disappointed to hear they no longer come with 2630 monitors. I liked the ability to use the monitors in other equipment at different times of the year.
They are currently ordered with 4600 displays, but I am wondering if we should go with 4640 displays instead. I realize they don't make financial sense if you are planning on keeping for a longer period of time, but we flip our combines and sprayer every 3 years, tractors a little longer. I really don't like the subscription based model, but when trading equipment every 3-5 years does the cost for renewal not get passed to next guy anyway? If trading something in with a 4600 with full subscription vs 4640 with expiring subscription -- will there be a monetary difference in trade value??
Does it make more sense in this case to order with 4640 displays so we can use in other pieces of equipment?
Is the functionality of the 4640 display better than the 4600? | |
